Ram Support Services Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy applies to this website and to the supports we provide.
Information we collect
We collect personal information needed to provide safe, effective support. This may include your name, contact details, date of birth and NDIS number, as well as sensitive information such as health, disability and care-related details, and the details of family members, carers or emergency contacts.
How we collect it
We collect information directly from you wherever possible — for example, through enquiries, referrals and service agreements. With your consent, we may also receive information from people involved in your care, such as support coordinators, family members, health professionals or the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
Why we use your information
We use your information to deliver and coordinate your supports, match you with suitable workers, communicate with you, process NDIS claims and invoices, meet our obligations as a registered NDIS provider, and improve our services. We will not use your information for unrelated purposes without your consent.
Disclosure
We may share your information with our support workers and staff involved in your care, and — where relevant and with appropriate authority — with the NDIA, plan managers, health providers and others involved in your support. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law. We do not sell your personal information.
Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access through physical, electronic and procedural safeguards, and we limit access to those who need it to do their job.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, or to have it corrected if it’s inaccurate or out of date. You can also withdraw your consent at any time, though this may affect our ability to provide some supports. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Complaints
If you have concerns about how we’ve handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put things right. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the date it was last updated shown above.
